I am curious how rigorously we should keep 0.6 ratio between length and width. I have seen use cases of the Amiga where the wheel base is longer than the track width (meaning the ratio is not kept). So, I wonder that you don’t really have to comply with it under some conditions such as low speed and less amount of turning.

That is an empirical ration supported by our calculations and observations to avoid overheating and premature rapid wear-out of the motor gears for the average application of the Amiga. That said, if your application permit, you can relax it.

Think of it as a trade-off… extra wheelbase means extra load during turns. If your payload is small and/or your are not performing many turns, you may increase wheelbase without performance problems.

What I always say is test it… collect some logs with different configurations and check if you are okay with the solution.

Sounds great. Thanks for the info
