I can’t seem to get the cameras to work correctly with the Amiga. They are plugged in to ports 3 and 4 of the PoE switch. Under the services list in the setting farmng-app@camera.service says stopped and it is grayed out and I don’t know how to enable this. I have read through the documentation about the camera and I cant seem to find any information on how to get the cameras to connect correctly.
Hey @Nick_Bennett,
They grayed out services are the one that run the Apps installed (the Camera app in this case).
The cameras services are actually part of the Amiga service - the very first you see, named farmng-amiga.service
. usually when cameras are not working I do the follwoing:
- Double check the PoE cables, make sure they are properly seated.
- Re-start
farmng-amiga.service
- Try reseting the port and/or PoE Switch
- If the camera is still not pinging (you can use to UI to test it), send an email to support@farm-ng.com and we can try some other alternative, like double checking the bootloader version of the camera, or checking for wrong configs.
Finally, note that, sometimes the camera stream takes long to show at the display, but if the LNK/ACT led of the port is blinking fast, that means data is flowing and images will be recorded.
