Running the Amiga on 48 V

Hi everyone, we would liket to use a PoE Switch witch needs an input voltage between 48-55 V. The battery documentation states that the circuit runs on 44 V and I measures around 42 V on lower battery levels. Compareable batteries of the same type are rated 48 or even 52 V. Is ist possible for the Amiga to run on those powerlevels so we can use the same circuit? Or will this fry some parts?

Best Regards
Simon

Hi Simon,

the batteries are nominal 44VDC, but indeed you see voltages between 40V (default 0% on our batteries and where we cut driving) and 51.4 (max charge) depending on your state of charge.

Our default PoE switch also requires stable 48 VDC, which is why you will see two DC converters back to back on our inteligence kits: the first lowers whatever you have on our batteries to 24 VDC, the second get it back up to 48 VDC.
