OAK occasionally unresponsive

Hello,

We’re developing a custom app that subscribes to the OAK service(s). Occasionally we notice an OAK is unresponsive - no data from service, failing ping test in settings. If we reset the PoE port it comes back online.

When it’s unresponsive it doesn’t work with either our custom app or the inbuilt camera app. We’re unsure as to the specific conditions which cause it, but it does seem unrelated to our custom app. A reboot does not resolve the issue.

The Brain is running software version v2.3.1.

Are there any suggestions for things to try, or places to look (eg. log files etc) to investigate a bit further?

Hey Steven,

Depending on how long your camera was shipped, you might have an older version of the bootloader. We’ve experienced that behavior a couple fo times here. You can check it yourself using this depthai-python script or contact me via support@farm-ng.com. I can remote in and run it in about 5 min.
